Wai-Yee Chen is a highly experienced financial strategist and entrepreneur, overseeing a portfolio of financial services businesses under her Australian Financial Services License. She holds degrees in Commerce (majoring in Accounting) and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University. As a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) with additional qualifications in Derivatives and Margin Lending, she brings deep technical expertise in investment structuring and risk management.
With nearly three decades in investment advisory and wealth management, Wai-Yee has worked closely with high-net-worth clients (many of whom are healthcare professionals), offering strategic insights into equities, derivatives, and portfolio optimization. Before establishing her own firms, she was an Investment Adviser at leading institutions, including Ord Minnett, ABN AMRO/RBS Morgans, and Credit Suisse First Boston. Her expertise has been widely recognized, with frequent appearances on CNBC, Sky News Business, and Ausbiz, as well as contributions to the Australian Financial Review and other investment publications.
As the Founder and CEO of a suite of financial firms, she leads Acumen Investors, providing strategic investment solutions tailored to sophisticated investors and family offices.
